Why is the mounted size different from the original print size?
During the stretch mounting, the canvas must be pulled far enough over each side for no white space to appear on the front. Therefore, a minimum of a quarter of an inch will be lost on each side, depending on the mount edge selected.
• A #1 or #2 mount will lose .25 inches of image on all four edges
• A #3 mount will reduce the image by 1 inch on all four edges
• A #4 mount will reduce the image by 1.5 inches on all four edges
• A #5 mount will reduce the image by 1 inch each on the left and right edges and .25 inches each on the top and bottom edges
• A #6 mount will reduce the image by 1.5 inches on the left and right edges and .25 inches each on the top and bottom edges
