MOUNTS / FRAMES / STROKES / GENERAL
In the early seventies, following studies in graphic arts, a field in which he was active for more than twenty years, Pierre Phillipe Brunet discovered a complementary passion, photography. His love of landscapes and nature was quickly reflected in his growing enthusiasm for this art form. Since then, his photographs have graced a number of books including Charlevoix, La Gaspésie, Le Québec des quatre saisons, Les escaliers de Montréal, Montréal, L'Île Sainte-Hélène, Les couronnements de Montréal, Files du fleuve, an in-depth photographic essay on the Berthier and Sorel island region, all published by Éditions Hurtubise HMH. Finally, Éditions Guy Saint-Jean published his works, which can be seen in diaries and calendars as well as material produced by the ministère du Tourisme du Québec. Some of his photographs crop up in the highly selected world of puzzles, on the Ontario market. Every passing season finds Pierre Phillipe Brunet expressing his talents more and more through the maritime and alpine scenes of Québec and neighboring provinces.
